Although the sky was dark, I could still see your face, timidly poking out from my arms as if you thought letting go meant floating away from my warmth into a sea of black. Your hair was dark with damp and stuck to your face, but you were still the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Pale, like a soft new moon, with eyes of a thousand stars.
